in january of 2001 i wrote this, my first rock song. i was doing a regular sunday night pub gig and i played this song for the first time there. the guy i opened for every week told me he 'couldn't wait to hear that one electric'. i did arrange to play it with a 5-piece band (lead, upright bass, drums, cello and electric sitar) a couple months later at the railway club (in vancouver). i felt like i was drowning, but it was an informative and necessary experience. i'll record an electric arrangement of it one day.
